Destination : The Hospital of St Cross, Winchester

Founded in 1132 this is one of England’s oldest continuing Almshouses, where you may still receive the Wayfarer’s Dole from the Porters Lodge.

Time 11.00am, please arrive by 10.45am for a guided tour with Brother John.

Cost £6.00 per person Maximum of 20 places

Transport The number 1 Blue Line Bus from Southampton to Winchester stops outside The Hospital of St Cross entrance.

Car parking is very limited.

Refreshments Tearooms in The Hundred Men’s Hall, within St Cross serving tea, coffee, soft drinks, home-made cakes with vegan options, and other sundries.

Booking opens 3rd March at 9.00am until noon and continues at the general meeting.

A four acre wildlife garden filled with scent, colour and mature trees. This large garden is being gradually restored.
